They had a great run, but it's time to focus on the rubs.
Almost 2 years ago, we got to thinking that we wanted to expand our product line beyond spice rubs. We introduced our line of sauces at an expo up in NH. They ended up being more popular than Liz and I of us could have imagined. Fast forward to today and our sauces are still and extremely popular part of the Wayward Gourmet collection.
So why are we giving them the ol' heave-ho?
Well, as many of you know, we are small operation...small as in literally 2 people. We take pride in making everything ourselves. Over time, the sheer time and effort put into putting the sauces together became too great. Without farming the production out, we decided to pull things back and focus more on our rubs. Sure, we could have hired additional help, but we like how things are right now and want to scale at our own pace.
So say goodbye to the sauces for now. This is not to say that we'll never return to the sauce business, but for now, we're going all-in on rubs.
