Blend of the Month for July: High Octane

Take your grilling to the next level with our awesome coffee rub!

When I tell people that our blend High Octane has coffee in it, I generally get one of two reactions: 1. "Oh I've heard of people doing that that, I gotta try it!" or 2. "Coffee cooked on my meat?"

So I'm not entirely sure who came up with the idea of rubbing ground coffee on a steak or roast, but I am sure glad they did. With our High Octane Coffee Rub, you're not going to get a piece of meat that tastes like a cup of coffee.  Instead, you're going to get a steak, roast, chop etc. that comes off the grill with this earthy and robust crust that is super unique and even more delicious!

To counter the bitterness of the coffee, we've added a little brown sugar and a hint of cocoa which really tie all the flavors together.

So how do you use it? It's really quite simple:

  1. Take your cut of meat, whatever it may be.
  2. Take a hefty handful of High Octane and rub it all over the surface of the meat.  For a steak, hit both sides of that bad boy. For larger meats like a roast or pork butt, or ribs, coat every visible surface. Don't be afraid to get your hands dirty!
  3. Then, just throw it in the oven or on the grill and cook to the desired temp/doneness.

You're going to love the robust crust that this rub gives any cut of meat. For the month of July, High Octane is $1 off so you can get to experience the awesome flavors of the rub. We know you're gonna love it!

And as always, all orders over $30 are free shipping.
